Adult Volunteer Orientation
Girl Scouts of California’s Central Coast requires that anyone working at Day Camp be a registered Girl Scout with a current background check. Volunteers are also required to complete a Day Camp Volunteer Orientation class each year.
Orientation will be on a weekend in May. Keep an eye on the Calendar page for updates.
Program Aide Training & Orientation
(1) Girl Scouts of California’s Central Coast requires that any Cadette, Senior, or Ambassador Girl Scout volunteering at a Day Camp must take Program Aide Core Training. This is a one time training class open to girls currently in 6th grade or higher. Girls do not need to take the class each year. We’ll post classes below as we find them.
-
- Check with our Girl Scout Council to find dates and locations.
- You can also check with Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles. They call the class “Program Aide Workshop”
(2) In addition, Girl Scouts of California’s Central Coast requires all Program Aides working at a Day Camp to attend that camp’s Day Camp Orientation Training each year. This training covers specific information for Day Camp procedures and operations, which may change from year to year.
Orientation will be on a weekend in May. Keep an eye on the Calendar page for updates.
